Last week, the New Hope City Council awarded a local pizzeria for great service and ownership throughout the summer.

At their Aug. 22 meeting, the city council awarded Frankie’s Pizza the Summer New Hope Outstanding Business.

The city said they gave the award to Frankie’s for their quality food and excellent ownership.

Frankie’s was also given the award due to their activity within the community, the council said. Frankie’s sponsors the pizza eating contest at Duk Duk Daze.

Additionally, officials from the restaurant said they have plans to expand seating, improve ambiance and acquire a liquor license.
